Your love gifts and support have provided a home for 20 little girls from the age of 3-12. It is so wonderful to hear the joy & happiness in the children’s voices, now that they know they have a safe place that they can call home. But you ask, what about the boys? There is a state law that we cannot have boys & girls under the same roof. We are looking to buy another property; it has 28 acres including buildings. With this place we can plant vegetables and fruit trees, also we will put in a chicken run and a pig barn. This place will produce enough veggies, chickens and pigs to support the orphanage. We need $500k to get this project completed. You will see how dedicated we are about the mission God has bestowed upon us. This orphanage will house around 120 widowed and orphan children where the women will be caring for the orphans.
There, the children will learn skills for such things as tailoring, catering, poultry rearing, cashiering, and cooking. They will learn agricultural skills; this will give these children a chance to be productive citizens in their communities. We have house mothers, teachers, nurses & doctors that volunteer around the clock to make sure that all of these children’s needs are met.
All of the younger children will have pre-school at the orphanage. The older children will go to public schools. So that involves books & fees. These kids have no one to look after them, they need our help. Without our help and support these orphans don’t have a chance.
“My God! My God!” is all I could say when I stepped into the mission field. The pain of hunger in their faces. As I spoke with the children and widowed grandmothers, I notice their strong Christian values and belief in God. These people have nothing, I mean nothing. One old grandma said to me “God didn’t create us all equal. Look at us!” She took my hand and said thank you for not forgetting about us, you know she didn’t want to let go of my hand. The tears are running down my face as I recall that day. She was right, we are not the same, and we live high on the hog as Americans compared to these people in poor nations.
I am here asking in God’s name that he will put it in your heart to give today. Adopt a child, make them a star. We started this mission to help orphan & widows. And we want to thank you for your continual love gifts and support. This mission lays heavy on our hearts. May it lay heavy on your heart as well.
